About Us
On February 16, 1983, equestrians from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Wisconsin, interested in establishing a local show circuit, met at the Dickinson Inn in Iron Mountain, Michigan. After discussing the merits of such an organization, officers were elected a meeting date was selected, and a place was set for the first director’s meeting. The Tri-County Horse Association (TCHA) was organized primarily to provide more recreation for equestrians, to promote better horses and equestrians, and increase interest in shows and gymkhanas.
